Amalie Chase

Born outside of Philadelphia, Amalie started dancing at the age of 3. She received her early classical training from Sherry Hiott at Delaware Dance Company and supplemented her training by attending summer intensives at CPYB, Charlotte Ballet, Miami City Ballet and BalletX. At 16 Amalie was invited to join Charlotte Ballet as a Trainee, under the direction of the renowned Patricia McBride, Laszlo Berdo and Kati Mayo. While at Charlotte Ballet, Amalie had the opportunity to perform alongside the company, dancing featured roles in works by Christopher Stuart, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Matthew Hart and Alejandro Cerrudo. During her time with Terminus, Amalie has performed in 10 world premieres, including works by Jennifer Archibald, Frank Chavez, Jimmy Orrante, and Heath Gill. Amalie is thrilled to be returning for her third season with Terminus! 

In addition to dancing, Amalie is the marketing and social media director for Wabi Sabi Terminus. She is also an emerging choreographer and has set works on Charlotte Ballet’s Trainee program and the Terminus Student Company. This past year her work, “Endless” was adjudicated and performed at RDASE in Memphis, TN. She is also a current online college student at the University of Delaware where she is pursuing a degree in Arts Administration.
