The Student Program offers diverse training, strengthening technical foundation, promoting creativity, and inspiring a love for dance. Students receive training in various classical schools, which enhances their ballet technique. The curriculum encompasses the intuitive movements of contemporary dance, all under the guidance of caring instructors in a safe and nurturing environment.

At the end of the academic year, all levels of the Student Program participate in the Spring Showcase, and have the opportunity to audition for The Nutcracker Suite.

Level 1A (Ages 7-8)

Tuition:
$55/per month, per class
Minimum 2 day per week (unless attending Boys class)

Registration fee: $50
Costume fee: $75

Ballet:
Student Program Level 1A is for beginning ballet dancers ages 7-8yrs. Students learn the basics and foundation of classical ballet in a creative and supportive environment.

Students enrolled in this level are encouraged to take 2 classes per week. Class time runs for 1 hour 15 minutes. Classes are offered Mondays & Wednesdays. If you are new to Terminus, one Free Trial class is offered on Monday or Wednesday.

Level 1B (Ages 9-11)

Tuition:
$55/month per class
Minimum 2 days per week (unless attending Boy’s class)

Ballet:
Student Program Level 1B  is for beginning ballet dancers aged 9-11yrs. Students learn the basics and foundation of classical ballet in a creative and supportive environment in a class with peers their age. 

Students enrolled in this level are encouraged to take 2 classes per week. Class time runs for 1 hour 15 minutes. Classes are offered Tuesday and Friday. If you are new to Terminus, one Free Trial class is offered on Tuesday or Friday.

Contemporary for Levels 1B & 2
Tuition $50 per month
Costume fee $75

Level 1B & 2 Contemporary is for the beginner to pre-intermediate dancer. Students channel their inner creativity while learning new dance techniques that spark their imagination. Class time runs 1 hour and is on Saturdays. This class takes part in the Spring Showcase, separate from the ballet classes and has its own costume fee due in the Spring Semester. Dancers must be enrolled in a ballet technique class in order to enroll in this class.

Level 2

Tuition:
Monthly: $198/month
(Ballet technique classes only)
Minimum 3 days per week of ballet technique classes

Ballet:
Student Program Level 2 is for pre-intermediate ballet dancers. Students learn the basics and foundation of classical ballet while incorporating more complex sequences, and artistry. Students enrolled in this level are required to attend 3 days per week. Class time runs for 1.5 hours. Classes are offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. If you are new to Terminus, one Free Trial class is offered on Thursday.

Contemporary for Levels 1B & 2:
Level 1B & 2 Contemporary is for the beginner to pre-intermediate dancer. Students channel their inner creativity while learning new dance techniques that spark their imagination. Class time runs 1 hour and is on Saturdays. This class takes part in the Spring Showcase, separate from the ballet classes and has its own costume fee due in the Spring Semester. Dancers must be enrolled in the ballet technique program in order to enroll in this class.

Level 3

Tuition:
Monthly: $336/month
(Ballet technique & pointe classes only)
Minimum 4 days per week of ballet technique & pointe classes.

Ballet:
Student Program Level 3 ballet is an intermediate-level ballet technique class for dancers. In this class, students expand upon their understanding of ballet technique and terminology in a blend of Russian, French, Danish, and American styles. Students also begin to incorporate their artistic expression into their dance. Students are required to attend 4 days per week.. Class times run 1.5 hours. Classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday.  If you are new to Terminus, one Free Trial class is offered on Friday for ballet & pre-pointe/pointe. 

Pre-Pointe/Pointe:
Student Program Level 3 pre-pointe/pointe is for intermediate level dancers. In this class, students work on the fundamentals of beginning pointe work. Students not already on pointe gain the strength required to move on to pointe work through the same series of exercises performed on demi-pointe. Class times run 1 hour.

Dancers joining Student Program Level 3, who are not currently on pointe, should not purchase pointe shoes until speaking with their instructor or the Student Program principal. The students receive notification when the instructor feels that the student has sufficient strength, level of technique, and maturity necessary to begin pointe work. The decision to start pointe work will be made on an individual basis with the instructor's advice, even if the student has been on pointe at a previous studio. Instructors will check the fit of the shoes to ensure the students purchase proper shoes for their feet. Students should not sew ribbons and elastics on their shoes until they receive approval from their instructor.

Level 3 Contemporary:
Tuition: $48/month
Costume Fee: $75

Student Program Level 3 Contemporary is for intermediate dancers. Techniques taught in this class will consist of contemporary ballet, improvisation technique, and Horton technique. Class time runs 1 hour.  This class takes part in the Spring Showcase, separate from the ballet classes and has its own costume fee due in the Spring Semester. Dancers must be enrolled in the ballet technique program in order to enroll in this class. Class is offered on Thursday.  If you are new to Terminus, one Free Trial class is offered on Thursday. Please follow the advice under Placement.

Level 4

Tuition:
Monthly: $432 ballet/month
(Ballet technique & pointe classes only)
Minimum 5 days per week of ballet technique & pointe classes.

Student Program Level 4 is an intermediate-advanced level ballet technique program. This is a comprehensive program where dancers will continue developing complex motor skills with multiple turns and beats and musicality in classical ballet and contemporary techniques. 

Female dancers work en pointe, and male dancers focus on men's combinations. Ballet classes will include technical influences from the Russian, French, Danish, and American styles.

** Level 4 students have the opportunity to audition for Terminus Student Company, giving them the enriching experience of performance.

Level 4 Contemporary
Tuition: $48 per month

Class time runs 1 hour. This class takes part in the Spring Showcase, separate from the ballet classes and has its own costume fee due in the Spring Semester. Dancers must be enrolled in the ballet technique program in order to enroll in this class. Class is offered on Monday.

Boys

Tuition:
$55/month
(Minimum 1 day/week)

Boys Class is for the beginning to pre-intermediate male dancers. Students have the opportunity to attend this class specifically designed with exercises to strengthen men’s technique in addition to their Level 1 or 2 classes. Class time runs 1 hour 15 minutes long. Class is offered on Wednesdays. Students must be enrolled in either Level 1 or 2 classes to attend.
